Here’s To Y’all

Also a Hillbilly Lifestyle winner

Oh, who takes a shower
when someday it’ll rain
And who needs those dernd books
that instruct and explain?
Who wants to move
when it’s a fine day for sittin?
Scrubbin between yer toes?
why that ain’t quite fittin.
Doin other folks chores,
that’s not really my place.
The Good Lord made time a plenty
for me to waste.
Not fooling nobody,
on this earth I was put
Just to fiddle a tune
while yer tappin yer foot.
Ain’t hurtin nobody,
doing nobody wrong.
It’s my aim in life
to jest be gittin along.
If ya don’t fancy my style,
favor my ways,
Make high muckity-muck schedules
to spend yer days,
My hat’s off to ya brother
or sister or y’all.
Yer stepping down life’s road
hearin a different call.
It ain’t yer job to fix me –
don’t even dare try.
Know I’m drinkin one to ya
as yer passin on by.
