The little Owl Who Saved the World.
It was 1945 and vengeful Russians were advancing on Hitler’s bunker.
Hitler trembled, he feared capture, torture and ignominious defeat. At
night he ventured out and beseeched the Devil. Hitler screamed,
“I’ll sell my soul and every soul in Germany to you if you will
rescue me and make me absolute dictator of the entire world.”
Beelzebub agreed providing that Hitler would exclaim the Devil’s
princely name―just once. If Hitler pronounced his name twice, Hitler
would immediately be condemned to the bottommost pit of hell. Hitler
eagerly and reverently called: “Beelzebub.” A little owl in a
nearby tree hooted, “Whoo?”
